About the firm

American Dream Law Office, PLLC is an immigration law firm based in Tampa, with offices in St. Petersburg, Orlando, Miami, New York City and Washington, D.C., representing clients across Florida, New York, D.C. and internationally.

We do one thing. Immigration is not a department here — it is the whole practice: removal defense and crimmigration, asylum and VAWA self-petitions, family and business petitions, and federal court litigation when a case has run out of administrative road.

The firm was founded by Attorney Ahmad Yakzan, who is admitted in Florida and in multiple U.S. federal circuit courts, is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, was named a SuperLawyers Rising Star in immigration from 2017 through 2020, and has held Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent rating since 2019. He hosts The American Dream Podcast and keeps a library of educational immigration videos in English, Spanish and Arabic.

The team

The firm is about ten people. Attorney Ahmad Yakzan leads it. Nadera Ahmad manages the office on roughly fifteen years in immigration law, working in Portuguese, Arabic, English and Spanish.

Case preparation runs largely through foreign-qualified lawyers. Katerine Domínguez is an attorney admitted in the Dominican Republic; Camila Andrea Camacho is a Colombian attorney whose work centres on removal defense — motions to reopen, stays of removal, bond proceedings, appeals and post-order relief. Rodolfo holds a Nicaraguan law degree. Intake and client communication sit with Gerald and Heba; operations, marketing and design with Marcelo, Sarah Ibrahim and Abir Baysal.

That team already works from Nicaragua, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Spain and the United States. The remote roles here are not an experiment — they are how most of this firm already works.

This work is not quiet. Clients call frightened, sometimes from detention, and deadlines are set by the government rather than by us — the firm commits to answering every client within 24 hours. If you want a slow desk, this is not it. If you want the kind of work where getting the details right changes where a family lives, it is.
